A bit about this our 2015 Phyllis Bramson Memorial Scholarship winner. Beckie Hildman
Beckie works for Community Action Connections (CAC) one of the agencies programs is the Child and Adult Care Food Program for around 150 Family Child Care Providers. They are located in Eastern Washington (State), an area that is in the desert where trees are more tumble weed then anything else. My professional back ground includes child development and parenting. Beckie is also a State Certified trainer for child care providers.
Beckie and her husband Don and have five adult children, the 23 year old is still at home. With a bonus of six grandchildren. They have had over 200 foster children pass through their home which prompted her to become a volunteer court Guardian Ad Litem or CASA for children in care. Beckie would love to retire but finds there is still so much to do.
"How exciting it's been to be the recipient of this years scholarship, looking forward to the Roundtable Conference and continue my learning, I am just thrilled."
